Located in downtown Toronto, Belmont House is a charitable, non-profit, Christian home for seniors offering long term care and retirement living.  We provide quality care to our residents in a safe and stimulating home environment and have been accredited with exemplary standing, Accreditation Canada’s highest possible standing.  The Belmont House’s Vision is to be the Seniors Home of Choice.  Belmont House values respect, caring, innovation, teamwork, excellence and responsiveness.

Principle Responsibilities

This is a volunteer Board consisting of up to 12 members, serving for a 2-year term to a maximum of 8 years.  Directors on this skill-based Board are responsible for making decisions about the home’s future including its strategic plan; monitoring financial performance; and ensuring quality care in a safe environment. This is a voluntary position with no pay.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking individuals who have a strong commitment to seniors’ care, a commitment to exceptional governance, and have one or more of the following leadership/skills/experiences: accounting; healthcare; quality and continuous improvement; health care policy and ethics; government experience; construction management experience; technology; legal; and marketing and communication experience.
