Belmont House Board of Directors – Volunteer Position
Join the Belmont House Board of Directors Located in downtown Toronto, Belmont House is a charitable, non-profit, home for seniors offering long term care and retirement living. We provide quality care to our residents in a safe and stimulating home environment and have been accredited with exemplary standing, Accreditation Canada’s highest possible standing. The Belmont House’s Vision is to be the Seniors Home of Choice. Belmont House values respect, caring, innovation, teamwork, excellence and responsiveness. This is a volunteer Board consisting of up to 12 members, serving for a 2-year term to a maximum of 8 years. Directors on this skill-based Board are responsible for making decisions about the home’s future including its strategic plan; monitoring financial performance; and ensuring quality care in a safe environment. We are currently seeking individuals who have a strong commitment to seniors’ care, a commitment to exceptional governance, and have one or more of the following leadership/skills/experiences: healthcare; quality and continuous improvement; health care policy and ethics; government experience; construction management experience; technology; legal; accounting; and marketing and communication experience. Belmont House actively seeks a board that reflects the diverse community it serves and our workforce. The Executive Secretary handles the daily operations of the office and supports the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Belmont House Board of Directors, Belmont House Foundation Board of Directors and Senior Management Team to meet the strategic and operational goals of the Company.
