FAQsTo ensure that the residents of Belmont House are continually able to participate in purposeful and enjoyable activities, a large selection and scope of special event programs are offered throughout the year.
Special event programs are balanced to ensure a flexible choice keeping in mind our tenants’ and residents’ social, cultural, physical, intellectual and spiritual needs.
Belmont House regularly welcomes groups and special guest speakers, such as Olympic Gold Medalists, comedians, and respected leaders from the community.
Bus trips include visits to locations such as Stratford to see Shakespearean plays or The Briars to have lunch beside the shores of Lake Simcoe. Belmont House is also truly fortunate to have several beautiful areas within the home where professional musicians perform weekly in truly idyllic settings.

The staff have really done a remarkable job keeping our family close while we have to physically stay apart.
Knowing that Mum is so well taken care of physically – and also mentally and emotionally – provides so much comfort to our family. We know that we don’t have to worry about her and can just enjoy our time together.
We can really feel the love the staff have for our Dad. They always have time for his jokes and stories and he is so well cared for. We know we made the best decision for him.
I’ve never been bored at Belmont! There is always so much to do and I can tell the recreation staff really care about what they do. The mid week current events group is a highlight of my week and full of interesting debate! I also really look forward to the live entertainment twice a week. Feels so luxurious to have such talented musicians visiting our home!
