Educational Resources
The
goal of the Belmont House Resource Centre is to develop and deliver
accurate, timely and up-to-date information about Belmont's programs
and services to our residents, tenants, families, staff and volunteers.
This innovative service provides education and awareness regarding
the care and services offered by Belmont House, and various community
organizations.
The Centre provides information that is up-to-date and easily
accessible. Sources of information include:
Information on
Belmont's programs and services
Comfortable
and easy access to computers and the internet, linking you to community
resources
Various associations/organizations
pamphlets
Booklets
and guides geared towards seniors
Caregiver information
Visitors to the
Centre can fill out a form asking for a search to be conducted
on our computer internet by a staff or volunteer member.
The
Centre is linked to our Learning Centre which houses information
geared towards health care professionals, but is available to users
of the Resource Centre at anytime.
The Centre also
provides a unique programming opportunity:
Each
month a trained professional will be scheduled to highlight
and give out information on a certain topic such as Active
Living, Osteoporosis etc., and will be available to answer questions
and hand out resources. Please refer to the events section
on our website for a list of upcoming information sessions.
