Long Term Care Alzheimer and Dementia Care Belmont House has a 26-bed secure Dementia Care unit with qualified staff to provide the best care possible to those with Alzheimer’s and related Dementias. Residents on the unit can participate in programming specifically designed for their individualized needs. Information regarding admission criteria for this unit can be obtained through our Social Worker. Applications to long term care must be made through the Toronto Community Care Access Centre. 2nd Floor Walker Wing Roof Garden The Walker Wing Roof Garden is designed especially for residents with cognitive impairment. The recently renovated roof garden is newly landscaped and provides a safe outdoor activity area that is fully enclosed and completely secure. Benches and chairs have been strategically placed along the circular path to provide rest areas for residents while they enjoy a walk around the garden. This interactive garden provides residents with the opportunity to plant their own flowers, have a barbeque, or visit with friends.
