Belmont House operates as a registered charity providing different levels of care for older adults, depending on their needs.

As your embark on this exciting phase of your life, Belmont House can offer you something unique: a complete living experience.

Every day, we take great pride in providing the very best to our Tenants, and provide excellent care and service in a vibrant setting.

We realize that each person is unique and has specfic needs. Belmont House works with you to individualize your accomodation and care. If you live independently or require a little more support, our staff will make sure that your every need is met and that you are completely satisfied - every day.

Three levels of care and service help to provide the right support for our Tenants to live with the highest quality of life and autonomy.


Independent Living

  • 4 week menu rotation approved by a registered dietitian
  • Stimulating recreation programs and outings
  • Weekly housekeeping - 1 hour
  • 15 dinners per month
  • In-house security system e.g. motion detectors
  • 7 day post hospital care including tray service, daily checks, vital signs daily
  • Access to on-site physiotherapy (OHIP)
  • ½ hour dietitian consultation annually

Enhanced Living

  • 4 week rotation approved by a registered dietitian
  • Stimulating recreation programs and outings
  • Weekly housekeeping – 1 hour
  • 30 dinners per month
  • In-house security system
  • 7 day post hospital care including tray service, daily checks, vital signs daily
  • Access to on-site physiotherapy (OHIP)
  • ½ hour dietitian consultation annually
  • Provision of bed linens (single bed) and towels
  • Laundering of bed linens and towels
  • Medication monitoring: ordering medications, transcribing medications, reminding and prescription checks ( In Health Care Office )
  • Physician Administration (Fee associated with coordinating care with Belmont House Physicians or external Physicians)
  • Wellness package (vital signs monthly and weight monitoring monthly )
  • Social Support
  • Care Co-ordination


Assisted Living

  • 4 week menu rotation approved by a registered dietitian
  • Stimulating recreation programs and outings
  • Weekly housekeeping – 1 ½ hour
  • All meals ( breakfast, lunch, dinner )
  • In-house security system
  • 7 day post hospital care including tray service, daily checks, vital signs daily
  • Access to on-site physiotherapy (OHIP)
  • ½ hour dietitian consultation annually
  • Provision of bed linens (single bed) and towels
  • Laundering of bed linens (single bed) and towels
  • Medication management: ordering medications, transcribing medications, administering, preparing doset, processing physicians orders, faxing to pharmacy ( In Health Care Office )
  • Physician Administration (Fee associated with coordinating care with Belmont House Physicians or external Physicians)
  • Wellness package (vital signs weekly and weight monitoring weekly)
  • Daily bed making
  • 1 baths per week
  • Treatments


Aging in place supports our philopsophy that tailored individual packages can also be developed to suit your needs along with providing excellent care.

All the comforts of home while you maintain your independence are offered in our spacious apartments:

  • 55 studio, one-and-two bedroom apartments
  • 26 studio and one bedroom apartments designed specifically for our Assisted Living Tenants

All our apartments are wheelchair accesible and provide the following:

  • Around-the-clock security
  • Motion detectors in all washrooms
  • Laundry facilities on each floor
  • Ample cupboard and closet space
  • Sprinklers and monitored smoke alarms
  • Soundproofing and air conditioning
  • Wall-to-wall carpeting and venetian blinds
  • 24 hour nursing presence
